Wall-E the Pup…Back From The Dead!

This is an incredible story of a pup back from the DEAD! This is Wall-E (named for the Disney robot. The last of his kind.) Wall-E was one of several pups that came into a Oklahoma shelter this past week. The pups looked sickly and there was overcrowding in the shelter so the decision was made to put the litter down.

*Side Note-I know many may be HORRIFIED that a perfectly good pup like Wall-E would be chosen for euthanasia but I can assure you, it happens EVERY DAY. My daughter volunteered at a shelter and she often told stories of putting entire litters down because they were sickly or unadoptable (often black pups are selected because they are less desirable than other color dogs…seriously….can you believe?) So the next time you breed your dog with your neighbors because you want to create some “cute puppies” think twice…..that’s how dogs like Wall-E end up euthanized…..don’t be part of the problem. Be part of the SOLUTION! ADOPT!* stepping off soapbox now….

So Wall-E and his poor littermates were given 2 injections of euthanasia drugs, checked with a stethoscope for any signs of life then were disposed of in the shelters waste receptical. The next morning a worker came in and must have heard something in the bin because when he looked inside, there was Wall-E, ALIVE and WELL! Even more strange, the bin was supposed to be picked up that night and for some reason it was not……coincoidence? I don’t think so!

So Wall-E will soon be available for adoption and hundreds have offered him a home.

Allow me to be the first to welcome our Zombie Dog Overlord…..Wall-E!!
